Grandma Schmid's Bubble Wreath

Bubble Wreath

1 cups warm water

1 teaspoons yeast

1 Tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoons salt

1 Tablespoons butter

about 3 cups flour


1 Tablespoon butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 Tablespoons corn syrup

4 or 5 cherries


Put water in a bowl and add Yeast then sugar, salt and butter Stir in

enough flour to make a stiff dough.  Turn out on floured table and knead

for several minutes. Put back in buttered bowl and let rise until about

double.

In a sauce pan melt 1 tablesoon butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 2

Tablespoons corn syrup.

Cut cherries in half and place in bottom of a bunt cake pan then pour

brown sugar mixture over them.

Make one inch balls out of the dough, then dip them in butter and then in

cinnamon sugar mixure. Put them on top of the brown sugar mixture in bunt

cake pan. Let rise and bake in 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
